FUNDRAISING

JR Roofing were kindly invited by Moto to take part in their annual Charity Clay Pigeon Shooting at E.J Churchill in High Wycombe. Greg Bourne from Alumasc Roofing Systems joined us having worked closely with us recently on a Moto project to refurbish a footbridge over the M6. It was a really enjoyable day which comprised of 11 stands, with different types of clay pigeon shoots on each stand. There was also a chance to use pistols with blanks, a rifle they called the blunder bus and also some axe throwing. There were food stands throughout the day in different areas of the range and drinks and doughnuts. After the shoot they held a meal and auctions to raise money for Help for Heroes as this is Moto's main charity partner.

A very good day for a worthwhile cause.

A big well done to everyone that took part in the Tandem Skydiving event and everyone else that donated money.

Office members and roofers are going to be doing a Tandem Parachute Jump in August to raise money for A Soldiers Journey and UK Homes 4 Heroes which are both very worthwhile charities. All monies will go into the JR Memorial Fund and then be split between the two charities. Please donate what you can to these two worthy charities.

At JR Flat Roofing (UK) Ltd we fully respect and support our past and present service men and women.

As a company we do all we can for the heroes that serve our country.

As many know in 2014 JR Flat Roofing hosted a colossal cake sale which was in aid of Help For Heroes and we raised a total of £3445.46!

Also on this day 19th of June 2014 our staff got invited to a charity shooting competition in Buckinghamshire held at EJ Churchill clay pigeon shooting grounds. The charity event was held by Moto Services and it was in aid of Help for Heroes.

It was a day full of celebrities such as the England rugby players Andy Goode and Andy Gommersall. Our lads had a brilliant day and ended up winning a competition – Jake Butcher, Aaron Roskilly and Phil Rogers were victorious on the day and won a bottle of champagne each.

This year we have decided to select a new charity and are now planning an event for UK Homes 4 Heroes later this year. Please take a look at their website here.

UK Homes 4 Heroes is a charity, founded on the 23rd April 2010 in response to the plight of homeless ex service personnel. It is estimated that over 4500 previously serving members of the British Armed Forces are sleeping rough in the UK today. With the Ministry of Defence due to be making cuts this figure is going to rise.

JR Flat Roofing UK Ltd are pleased to be supporting this fantastic event to raise awareness of the plight of homeless veterans in the UK. Our staff will be attending the London event which starts at 7pm outside the National Art Gallery, Trafalgar Square.

We are more than happy to be making a £100 donation to UK Homes 4 Heroes, one of the charities recommend by Veterans for Freedom.

On Monday 26th May staff and friends of JR Flat Roofing UK Ltd entered a Charity Football Tournament at Wendron F.C. in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust. A charity we were very willing to support. The lads gelled really quickly as a team and started of the day with brilliant back to back wins. The lads faced top opposition in the group stages and still came out on top. We won our semi final but narrowly lost in the final. However it was a brilliant day and a great way to raise money for charity. Full credit to our lads for their efforts!

Recently on the 3rd of May we had a Colossal Cake Sale which was all in aid of Help for Heroes.

To say it was a massive success is an understatement as it was a fantastic day for all ages and the sun was out to shine. We would like to thank everybody for donating the cakes and raffle prizes.

Thank you massively to everybody that came and participated and gave up their Saturday for a great cause, it will help us to show our wounded heroes how much support there is in the community and makes a real difference to the lives of our wounded heroes and their families.

The total amount raised by JR Flat Roofing (UK) Ltd and all participants is an outstanding £3445.46!
